We discussed my progress to date and considered images from recent shoots.

Key points for consideration:-

Consider the work of:-

• French and Saunders – contouring

• Thomas Ruff – early portraits

• Banier – furniture bondage

• Bonajo – Source Magazine – wigs

• Valerie Belin – Mannequins

Image considerations:-

• Deadpan face in all

• Careful composition

• 3 or 5 images in a series

• Still life images of masks and prosthetics

• Mr Potato Head?

• Overload the face with makeup – even more extreme

• Consider the visual anthology

• High resolution

• Scale?

• Pay attention to detail

• White backdrop may be preferable

• Use of ring flash?

• Sketches – take to each shoot

• Typology

• Plastic surgery?

• Turning into a self portrait project

• Eye lashes top and bottom work well
