Final Major Project: Portfolio Review and Discussion – Lynn Chambers – 19-02-18

Notes from my recent portfolio review and discussion – recorded here for reference and action.


Key points:-

  1. My work suits black and white

  2. I have a strong and distinct aesthetic in colour

  3. Work is organic

  4. Many beautiful shots

  5. Work really well with people

Actions:-

  1. Consider documentary portraiture

  2. Website needs to speak to organisations – edit it down to best online portfolio

  3. Identify competitions to enter and other opportunities

  4. Consider applying for grants to complete longer bodies of work

  5. Research and identify who is commissioning work – contact them

  6. Approach banks etc about producing human interest images for their walls

  7. Identify where the money is and approach them with projects
