Informing Contexts – Hipstamatic Mini Project and Experiment 5 – Volvo Abstracts

 Figure 1: Sutherst 2017

“Abstraction is one of the greatest visionary tools ever invented by human beings to imagine, decipher, and depict the world.”

– Jerry Saltz

The aim of this Hipstamatic experiment was to photograph every day objects in an abstract manner. The subjects of the images are things that we would not normally take much notice of.  The resulting images are edgy and quite dramatic; we are drawn into them.  They have a fine art appeal and would not look out of place in a gallery.  I am pleased with the results of this mini-experiment.
