Informing Contexts – Hipstamatic Mini Project and Experiment 8 – Objects

Writer's picture: Jo SutherstJo Sutherst

“I began to realize that the camera sees the world differently than the human eye and that sometimes those differences can make a photograph more powerful than what you actually observed.”

– Galen Rowell

I challenged myself to find objects that once photographed with Hipstamatic become more powerful images that the items would normally lend themselves to.  The monochrome images at the bottom left handsome and top right hand side would have benefitted from more contrast.  In general though, the resulting images again remind me of fine art type photographs that could easily be displayed as part of a collection.
