Informing Contexts – Hipstamatic Mini Project and Experiment 9 – Cats

I was pleasantly surprised how well these images turned out.  The focus on the eyes is sharper than I had anticipated possible with an iPhone.  My intention following this experiment is to photograph people using the same app and to compare the images to those taken with my DSLR.

During my experiments with Hipstamatic, I have found I really quite like this app.  I never know how an image is going to turn out when I take the picture.  This is quite exciting and makes the process really interesting to me.   I have also discovered that I can photograph pretty much anything no matter how random, in most light conditions and some of the resulting images look fabulous.  Time to plan experiments within portraits now.
