Surfaces and Strategies – Work In Progress Portfolio – Version 1

With the Rag’n’Bone Man song ‘We’re only human after all’ playing in my head, I compiled the first version of my work in progress portfolio.

I trialed the use of diptychs and triptychs when sequencing the images. I also have images on both white and black backgrounds.  The title seems a bit long and I will probably shorten it for version 2.  Also, the chosen images, once in this sequence don’t seem to flow as well as they could.

The diptychs also strike an odd chord with me. Where there should be a story, I have introduced a tale by joining the different body parts together in an image.

The sequencing and change to the background (white to black etc) don’t really work for me.  The narrative is a little confusing and the whole project feels disjointed.

Back to the drawing board I think!
