Sustainable Prospects – Why Network?

Networking will enable me to develop beneficial relationships in the photography industry. I am hopeful that by nurturing these relationships, I will be able to access other outlets and audiences for my work.


To consider the opportunities open to me from networking, I have mind-mapped my thoughts below.

Current networking:-

  1. Student member of AOP

  2. Member of various Facebook networking groups

  3. Networking with professionals through LinkedIn – recent links include Roger Ballen

  4. Member of a female photography club

  5. I have been asked to produce and review a photobook by Saal Digital which may open up other possibilities for me in the future.

Opportunities:

  1. I have been given a ticket to Paris Photo by Pernod Ricard and so intend to network and talk to galleries whilst I am there.
