Final Major Project: Creative Invention

“Metaphorically and literally, “makeup” is a form of creative invention, whether performed by men or women . . . Each swipe of eye shadow, bronzer, luminizer, or lipstick creates a new, made-up self-story. The appeal of cosmetics is, in part, the possibility of self-invention. I can create illusion, contour, colour, depth, sparkle, highlighting, “youth”, allure.”
